Continuity Editing

30 Rock
This scene shows Jack, Tracy and some therapist having a conversation. The camera has quick cuts back and forth to focus on whoever is talking at that time. It has a quick POV shot of the chair that Tracy is supposed to be talking to. The camera continues to use quick cuts, and changes angles often. There aren't any eye level shots, it is either aiming down or up depending on the character. We get a reaction shot when Jack does his little speech to the therapist.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
This scene has many different editing techniques. The use of closeups is quit apparent. We get closeups of the faces of the characters and a few of their pistols and harnesses. The use of closeups is what makes this scene so powerful. We get to see the emotion that the character is going through. Two of the men are clearly nervous, while Clint Eastwood is as cool as can be. The continuity editing ads to this. We don't stay on one characters reaction for too long so it keeps us within the scene.

Snatch
This clip shows a lot of reaction shots and closeups. The shots of the two fighters back and forth in their corners juxtaposed with the shots of the announcer calling their names. Once the fight starts and ends in about 2 seconds, we see the reactions of the mobsters who bet on it, and are clearly upset about the fact that Mickey knocked the guy out, rather than going down in the 4th. It then cuts to the knocked out fighter, then the reaction of the guys who promised he'd go down, and then to Mickey and his reaction. The cuts are very subtle but they add a lot to the scene.
